OUR BOARD

KERRI STEBBINS
FOUNDING DIRECTOR,
PRESIDENT & CHAIR(WO)MAN

Picture
Kerri digs Matt, mountains, alpine lakes, running Endless Trails, using her words, keeping her nose stuck in a book, puns, pugs, pine trees, porters, alliteration. She was born into a familial lineage of distance-running, but didn't find her love for epic trail miles until 2011, having been a sprinter in high school and college (in Oregon). Originally from Spokane, WA and a proud Northwest native, Kerri grew up spending her summers in and around north Idaho, before falling into deep smit with the rest of Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and even South Dakota.

Kerri comes to Endless Trails with an extensive accounting, grant-writing/management, and project admin/management background, in addition to high school and collegiate tutoring and elementary counseling experience. Before moving from Oregon back to Washington State, she worked for a prestigious capital management/sustainable tree farm company. She also has a long and merry history of freelance writing, editing, and social media/marketing work.

MATT STEBBINS
FOUNDING DIRECTOR,
VICE-PRESIDENT & SECRETARY

Picture
Matt likes mountains, loves being outside, and would go anywhere with Kerri. He's familiar with trails in Wisconsin (his birth state), Iowa (college), and across the Midwest, as well as in each of the Western states he's lived (Arizona, Idaho, and Washington) and played in (California, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming).

Matt ran his first trail in 1997, his first trail ultra in 2003, and hasn't found a reason to stop spending long days in the mountains yet.

Matt comes to Endless Trails with a dynamic and extensive history in education - including outdoor education - having worked with elementary to college students in Math, Science, English, and many of the liberal arts. He also is an adept writer (though he'll never admit it aloud), a stellar communicator, and a regular winner of Jeopardy. Matt and Kerri ran the race side of Rainshadow Running (permits; event planning; race logistics) from early 2014 to May 2016, in addition to doing all of the volunteer coordinating and social media/marketing.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ALEX & VERONICA HUGHES

Picture
Alex and Veronica are one of our favorite #DreamTeams, and not just because they volunteered to take over race-day logistics for our beloved Carkeek and Cottontail races in 2019 so we could spend more time at home and altogehter less time on the road.

BRI LEAHY

Picture
Bri is an engineer with an art degree who is passionate about endurance sports and wild spaces. Thru hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2015 solidified a long-term love affair with the mountains, and helped Bri transition her former Ironman triathlon endurance hobby to pure trail running and fast packing. Bri has maintained her connection to the PCT and trails by avidly volunteering as a steward, scout, and sawyer-in-training, and she brings those trail skills and that passion with her to Endless Trails. Bri has finished a trail 100-miler and countless other ultra distance races, has been known to carry instant potatoes with her wherever she goes, and is also a dog-mom to a quirky old border collie named Eureka, and exuberant pup, Huck!

JOSH STEBBINS

Picture
When he's not running and/or volunteering in his community, you'll likely find Josh listening to music, thinking about writing, or hanging out with his family. He spends his days working with K-5 kids, overseeing after-school offerings and a Youth & Family Coordinator program in a bustling public school system. He has a long history of spending copious amounts of joyful time outside and brings a deep well of kindness and support to the team.

           KAREN PRESLEY

Picture
Karen is an accounting and bookkeeping wizard (Want proof? She invested and saved enough money to fully retire before she was 50), and brings over three decades' worth of her money-saving and budget balancing knowledge to the Endless Trails team.

She's highly organized, extremely efficient, and taught Kerri almost everything she knows about how to simultaneously be fiscally responsible and exceedingly giving.

RYAN LAUCK

Picture
Ryan grew up in the Midwest but felt the call of the mountains all his life. He learned to climb, ski, and run in the hills of Utah on annual childhood trips to visit family, and finally moved after graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Computer Science. Writing software by day and exploring the trails in northern Utah on evenings and weekends, Ryan developed a passion for trail-building and outdoor advocacy. He currently serves as a member of the Farmington City Trail Committee and works with the US Forest Service to organize volunteer trail maintenance projects there. Ryan is dedicated to preserving the trails that allow us to sustainably access wild, beautiful places...except on powder days.

SO THAT'S OUR SUPER DYNAMIC, NOTABLY AWESOME TEAM!
WE'RE PERPETUALLY READY TO DO BIG THINGS.

We're also psyched to get to know you and some of your favorite trails.
